When Amanda inquired about doing family photos this summer, she asked specifically for a beach session, and Montrose Beach was the perfect choice. We started the session at the Harbor so their golden retriever, Buckeye, could join us for some photos (dogs aren’t allowed on the sand itself, but portraits at the Harbor is a nearby spot that also gives you some variety in your gallery).
Once Buckeye had his moment, we wandered over to the beach, starting in the dunes and making our way down to the water. We finished off the session by going over to the entrance of the Bird Sanctuary, which made for some of my favorite pics of the day.
